The red rose is a symbol of beauty, passion, desire and romantic love, and for that reason it is the most popular color of a rose.

The red rose is associated with the Goddess of love Aphrodite. The myth says that she injured her leg on a white rose thorn running towards her wounded lover - Adonis. Her blood dyed the white roses red, turning the red rose into a symbol of incredible passion and romantic devotion.
